The Sound Room at Polaris

Sound Therapy / Sound Bath
New to Sound Therapy? There's nothing quite like it. Sound therapy is based on quantum physics and the fact that science tells us that everything is pure energy. Our body is electric and in the western world, we tend to measure that energy with an EEG and EKG. When we have stressful events in our lives, our brain and nervous system is impacted, and we hold tension and trauma throughout the body's systems. Imbalances in the body can affect physiological functioning and play a role in creating illness and disease. Sound therapy can assist in restoring the flow of information through the nervous system. It has also been shown to help reduce stress and improve various negative emotional states such as depression and anxiety. At The Sound Room, we help release that tension and stress and reset your body to its natural states. It only takes one session and you'll be hooked!
So what happens in a Sound Therapy (sound bath) session? You come in and get comfortable on one of our lounge chairs (fully clothed). The practitioner will guide you through a short meditation to help coax you towards creating a coherence with your brain and heart. We'll use instruments during the meditation to help turn on your parasympathetic nervous system, where the body begins to repair itself. You'll be asked to create the images and emotions described in the meditation, which will help put you in that Zen state. When you reach this state, the practitioner will use many different ancient/cultural instruments to create various frequencies in the room that will assist in repairing the body to its natural state. You are NOT there to watch and listen. You are there to allow the frequencies to impact your body and mind. Many people who get to this deep state describe it as "being there but not really being there," "letting go and just being" "totally unaware of my body", or "pure consciousness" Time will pass quickly as your body repairs itself and you will leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, and often times with less physical and psychological pain.

Cost: $50/session
